Stay at another university/another institution

As a degree student at Aalborg University, you are allowed to spend a semester at another university in Denmark or abroad as part of your studies.

Stay at another university

First, you need to decide where you wish to go. In the International Office’s information base you can search for cooperation agreements between Aalborg University and other universities. At the homepage of International Office, you can find guides and information regarding a stay abroad.

You can also visit your study board or the student counsellor for guidance.

Students at AAU Aalborg

As a student at campus Aalborg you should contact International Office at the email address: outgoing-student@adm.aau.dk when you have found a university you wish to go to.

Students at AAU Copenhagen (Cph)

As a student at campus Cph you should send an e-mail to goingabroad@cph.aau.dk. You will receive a form to be filled in.

Students at AAU Esbjerg

As a student at campus Esbjerg you should contact Heidi Valdkilde Jensen, hjv@staff.aau.dk. Heidi can guide you and assist you in the process.

Pre-approved Credit Transfer and Credit Transfer

When you are going to study at another university, you need to get a pre-approval of the academic part of your stay in good time.

Please note that the university’s standard agreements Non-disclosure Agreement for Student Project or Non-disclosure and Rights Agreement for Student Project must be completed and signed before the traineeship can start.
