On this page, you can see how AAU is following up on the challenges in the study environment or the requests the students under the School of Engineering and Science have made in the semester evaluations from Spring 2018. The tables below list these requests and the status on addressing them.

It is the role of Campus Service to ensure optimal physical conditions for both teaching and research activities at AAU. Thus, if a given department determines that a request for the study environment can be accommodated, that request is relayed to Campus Service. IT challenges are relayed to AAU IT Services.

Biotechnology, Chemistry and Environmental Engineering

A request for more power supplies in room 1.501.

Campus Service are currently trying to find a possible solution.

A request for signposting to the local maintenance office.

A request for more chairs in the corridors along the labs.

Because of fire escape regulations, it is not possible to put more inventory in the corridors because it will block possible escape routes.

The projector in the auditorium makes too much noise.

It is unfortunately not possible to get a projector that makes less noise. Because of this, IT Services will instead make a box for the projector to lessen the noise levels. This box is expected to be complete before the start of the autumn semester in 2018.

Problems with the functionality of some of the lockers the students use to store their personal belongings.

The Department is not planning to change the lockers because it has failed to identify any technical issues with them.

A request for more cleaning in the kitchenettes and toilets as well as a more even supply of toilet paper.

When there is a lack of cleaning both students and employees are encouraged to report the problem through the Building Support App (bs.aau.dk). By doing this, the problem is often solved the same day.

A request for better ventilation in the group rooms.

Campus Service is currently working to improve the indoor climate in several of the group rooms.

A request for furniture in the group rooms that give a better seating position.

Several of the group rooms will be upgraded during Autumn 2018.

 

Energy/First Year of Studies in Engineering

It gets very hot in the bigger auditoriums. Especially auditorium 7.

A plumber has fixed the ventilation in the auditoriums.

There is missing a table in room B201.

The maintenance officers will make sure that all rooms will have a sufficent number of tables and chairs before the start of the autumn semester in 2018.

Some group rooms have no blackboards while others have too many.

Like the above the maintenance officers will make sure that every group room has the requisite blackboards.
